In Europe, the movement from traditional banking to neo-banking has been unstoppable. Latin America, however, plays by its own rules. The region is still considered to be “unbanked”, with a large percentage of the population has never had a bank account. In the past five years, the arrival of accessible, low-cost, digital-only banking services has started to fill the gaps in LatAm's financial market. Digitization of traditional banking has presented problems for the European market; could Latin America bypass these issues and become a fresh new FinTech haven?
